the picture "fever" has been taken from my series "living with aids" which is definitly my most personal piece of photographical work.
the series is about a man who was infected by the HIVirus. i went along with him for four years, documenting the last years of his life, showing what HIV and AIDS made to a man (who became a close friend of mine), his family, his friends and his social environment.
it's the story about a loving father of two children but also the story of a multi addicted junkie. it might be a story about each of us, too...
